Who can use Desidera

Desidera is only for people aged 18 or over. By using Desidera you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, please don't use the service or join the waitlist.

What Desidera is

Desidera is a journal for reflection with tarot. Right now it offers two free services: a daily card, and a waitlist that tells you when Desidera launches. Accounts, the journal and readings with our AI guide Vesper aren't open yet. When they open, we'll publish new terms and ask you to accept them before you use those features.

The daily card and its meaning are for reflection and entertainment only. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and they don't predict the future. Decisions you make are your own. If you are in crisis or in danger, contact the emergency number 112 or a professional.

We don't sell anything yet. Prices shown on the site, such as for the founding-member offer, announce what will be available at launch. They are not an offer you can accept now, and nothing is charged before launch.

Technical requirements

To use Desidera you need an internet connection and a current version of a common browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge) with JavaScript enabled. To join the waitlist, you also need an email address you can read.

Using any online service carries risks, such as phishing or malware. We will never ask you for a password or payment details by email. Only open links in emails that lead to our domain.

How the contract is made and how long it lasts

• Daily card: the contract is made when you draw a card and ends when you leave the page.
• Waitlist: the contract is made when you confirm your email address. It's free and lasts until you delete your signup with the link in any of our emails, or until we've told you about the launch.

Fair use

When you use Desidera, please don't:

• send unlawful content, or sign up anyone else without their permission
• try to break, overload or get around the security of Desidera
• use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access Desidera
• copy Desidera or use it commercially without our written permission

Our content

The texts, design, card meanings and software of Desidera belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use, and share your daily card's image with others. The tarot card images are based on the 1909 deck illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith, which is in the public domain.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Desidera available and secure, but there may be short breaks for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We may change or end the daily card or the waitlist; if we end the waitlist before launch, we'll tell you by email and delete your signup.

Liability

We are liable to you as the law provides. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for personal injury, or under any rights you have as a consumer that can't be changed by contract.

Complaints and disputes

If something doesn't work as described, write to us at hello@desidera.app. Please describe the problem and what you'd like us to do. We answer within 14 days.

If we can't agree, you can get free help from the European Consumer Centre in your country, and the consumer authority where you live can point you to out-of-court dispute resolution bodies. Taking part is voluntary for both sides.

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country, and you can bring a claim before the courts where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for important reasons: a change in the law or a decision of an authority that affects us, new or changed features, security, or changes at our service providers. If you're on the waitlist, we tell you about changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your signup before then. Changes that only fix typos or are entirely in your favour may apply right away.
